Peanut Butter Sheet Cake - Charlotte S


                Peanut Butter Sheet Cake

  2 cups flour                                    1/2 cup peanut butter

  2 cups sugar                                  1 cup water

  1 teaspoon baking soda                 1/2 cup milk

  1/2 teaspoon salt                             2 eggs

  3/4 cup butter                                  1 teaspoon vanilla



Sift dry ingredients. Combine water, milk, peanut butter and butter in small saucepan. Heat to boil.  Pour this mixture over the dry ingredients and mix well. Beat in eggs and vanilla. Pour into greased and floured sheet pan. Bake 350 degrees for 15-20 minutes.    (Connie’s note:  I made it in an oblong cake pan instead of a sheet pan, so I had to bake it another 10-13 minutes.)

                               Frosting

1 cup peanut butter

 1/2 cup butter

 2 teaspoons vanilla

 1/3 cup milk

 1 pound powdered sugar



Cook in small sauce pan peanut butter and butter till melted. Add milk and vanilla. Add powdered sugar. Mix well. Spread over warm cake.
