Pumpkin Bread - Bonnie


PUMPKIN BREAD                                                                           Bonnie Arnold  1979

1 cup sugar

½ cup brown sugar

½ cup oil

2 unbeaten eggs

1 cup canned pumpkin

 1 tsp baking soda

½ tsp cinnamon

½ tsp salt

¼ tsp ginger

½ tsp nutmeg

2 cups flour

 1 cup raisins

½ cup chopped nuts

¼ cup water


Combine sugars, pumpkin, oil & eggs; beat until well blended.

 Sift together the flour, soda, salt, & spices; add first mixture & mix well.


Stir in raisins, nuts & water.  Spoon into well oiled 9” x 5” x 3” loaf pan.

Bake at 350 for 65 to 75 minutes, or until done when tested.

Turn out on rack to cool thoroughly.
