Ice Cream in a Bag 2009
This is a
fun recipe with a big group of people, they can each make their own bag. Or with children - they can also shake their
own bag!
For the ice cream (listen up you grandmothers!), in a small freezer bag put:
1/2
cup milk
1
Tablespoon sugar
1/4
teaspoon vanilla flavoring
Optional:
Add fruit, nuts, or chocolate chips
Rock
Salt
Ice
2 sandwich plastic
bags and 1 zipper freezer bag.
Heavy towel or warm gloves!
Zip
up the bag, trying to remove all the air. Make a second one, then put them both
in a large freezer bag. Fill the large bag 1/2 way with ice, add about 1/3 cup
of rock salt. Wrap it in a heavy towel to protect your hands from the cold, and
shake about 10 minutes (having fun the
whole time) and ....... yummmmy ice cream!
