FRUIT COOKIES f Ethel Cochran 1988
3 cups flour
1 tsp baking soda
½ tsp nutmeg
Mix dry ingredients

1 tsp vanilla
1 lb pineapple crushed
Separately mix wet ingredients

1 lb white raisins
1 lb candied cherries cut up (I use
fruit cake mix instead)
1 & ½ lb chopped pecans
Take ½ cup flour mixture & roll nuts & fruits in the flour
mixture.

1 cup brown sugar
½ cup butter
4 eggs
Beat sugar, butter, & eggs. Add pineapple mixture.

3 TBSP sour milk (1
TBSP lemon juice or vinegar & milk to make 1 cup, so I used a few drops of
lemon juice in one of the TBSPs.)
½ cup whiskey (Bourbon)
Mix sour milk & whiskey with
sugar mixture.
Pour over fruit & mix good with
hands.
Add rest of flour mixture and mix
well.

Drop spoonfuls. 350 degrees for 15 minutes or until done.
